Creative Healthcare announces release of next generation e-learning for Lean & Six Sigma

Scottsdale, Arizona (June 15, 2011)—In conjunction with the 2011 Institute of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), Creative Healthcare (CHC) announced its next generation series of e-learning courses in healthcare performance improvement, including Lean for Healthcare, Six Sigma Greenbelt for Healthcare, and Performance Improvement Today™. Additionally, and for the first time ever, CHC will be making these products available to individual subscribers seeking certifications in either Lean or Six Sigma.

"Individuals have been asking us for years to help them gain access to this material," recalls Mark Mathews, MD, CHC's Managing Partner. "Our focus has been on addressing the performance improvement needs of the institutional buyer, such as hospitals and health plans." The move to offer individual access to e-learning products reflects the growing movement among healthcare executives to take the initiative in building skillsets in anticipation of the demands of healthcare reform. In a recent study published by Healthcare Executive magazine, 42% of hospitals surveyed claimed they have used Lean or Six Sigma methods to reduce costs and increase effectiveness in their organization.

CHC's Continuous Learning Lab™ platform improves on a product line first introduced in 2003 and later offered through channel partnerships with the American Society for Quality and the American College of Healthcare Executives. The company has added significant enhancements to the platform, including healthcare-specific case studies, tools and templates to support project work, and multi-media features to make the program more entertaining.
